Car rental in Reunion Island

For more than 20 years, our team has been offering car and van rental in Reunion Island, from Roland Garros airport (Gillot), Sainte-Clotilde and Le Port. Our vehicles are recent and regularly serviced, and we offer original and useful services to help you make the most of the island (beach kit, baby carrier for hiking, child seat, picnic table, etc.).

We understand this is a common concern. When you pick up your rental vehicle, we inspect it and record any pre-existing damage on your rental agreement. You sign this to confirm its accuracy. Rest assured, we will never charge you for pre-existing damage. You will also not be charged for minor chips and dents that occur during your rental, as we consider these normal wear for any vehicle. These include: 

  • Bodywork – surface abrasions or scratches less than 25 mm (1 inch).
  • Bodywork – dents less than 25 mm (1 inch).
  • Bodywork – stone chips in the paint (no dent) less than 3 mm.
  • Glass cracks less than 3 mm.
  • Wheels / scratches under 25 mm.
  • Interior / seat tear / burn under 3 mm, carpet tear / burn under 10 mm.

If additional damage is caused to the vehicle during your rental, you will be charged according to automotive industry standards under expert assessment. In case of damage, we will charge the total repair costs up to the excess amount agreed and shown on your rental agreement, except where our terms and conditions are violated.

No, the vehicle is not insured for travel abroad. It is strictly forbidden to cross borders with our rental vehicles.

If necessary you may of course return the vehicle earlier than planned. Please note that in this case no refund for unused days is available, nor for options.

Unless you have a home charging point, it is possible to charge an electric car using a standard plug. However, this is slower.

Charging at home using a three-pin socket is the slowest method and can take up to 24 hours to fully charge an electric vehicle.
A 7 kW home Wallbox allows you to fully charge a car overnight.
With a 'rapid' public charging station providing 50 kW to 350 kW, you can charge a Vauxhall Corsa electric to 80% in around 30 minutes (Source: The AA).
